24Sept2010 - Shanghai
This day had finally came! ha. it's like a bird flee from cage. LOL. It's a mixture of feelings, everything seems new, no more restriction, no more tour guide telling where to go, no more timetable to follow, no lecturer looking after you. you are on your own. at the same time you feel lost, because we DID NOT make any planning at all. LOL. we did not do any research, we just went and came back just like this. LOL. it's simply amazing that we actually managed to get to the place we wanted and enjoyed the whole process.
alright, as yesterday we were tired, we slept till 9+, i remembered that we had no breakfast in the morning, i went to the hotel entrance to pick SH up and then on the way back to my hotel room, she was like kept saying she paiseh of joining us. LOL. anyway after all preparation, we finally set off to Qipu Road, a place that was recommended by our tourguide and students from SISO. ha. so we set off by just hearing from the hotel receptionist where the nearest mrt station is. LOL. on the way we pass by convinence stall and bought some snacks and drinks, we were sort of lost during the search of the train station, went asking the ppl around and continued chatting and exploring the place around us like nobody's business. LOL
We went to Qufu Road station and walked a distance to Qipu Road, a shopping district? heard from tourguide it's a wholesale market. so they might not sell to you unless you are buying in bulk. but apparently they do sell in pieces too and seriously, it's a must to bargain if you are there. LOL.
after we reach Qipu road, we were hungry, finally had KFC for brunch. After eating, all we did is SHOP. hahaha. especially with shopaholic like BW. Seriously, our bargaining skills improved tremendously after our first partial failed attempt. the reason why i called it partial failed is actually because the deal did succeed, but then we realise that the price can be much much much wayyyyy lower. LOL.
After long hours of shopping, it's kind of hot and crowded with lots of people. the photo above is that we were waiting for BW? to try on shoes. Tian and I were so tired until we just sit down and wait. LOL. We spent the whole day there. I bought a few clothes there and I really have to praise BW to be able to shop so long the whole day and was still so enthu about shopping. LOL. I remembered during the end of the shopping, Liyana, ana, nas, SH and I were already sitting down at the bench in the middle of the shopping centre and gave up shopping while tian and BW actually still got the energy to continue.
After that we went to find the nearest train station again. LOL. the place is huge and we were dead tired, we just follow the nearest mrt sign board and went to the nearest train station ignoring the fact that there are different lines. LOL. the above photo is while waiting for BW and others to go and check about how to go back to our hotel. Tian and me were so tired that we actually hugged each other and closed our eyes. LOL. we can sleep any moment, just give us a bed and we will go lala land~ LOL. Anyway, look at the amount of things we had bought. LOL. 5 big bags of stuffs and we had to bring it all the way back to hotel. For this, i really wished to thank Nas for being such a gentleman for carrying a few bags back to hotel. LOL. (I guessed he got no choice as he is the only guy there. LOL.)
Off we went back to the train station where we started the whole trip, as we were dead tired and were carrying lots of stuffs, we decided to take cab back to our hotel . On the way to each hotel room and settle and separate our stuffs, we saw MK and then we started chatting in the room and MK got surprise when he saw SH. after that he intro himself then SH actually started her self-intro with I am (name), from NYP. just when we thought she ended. she actually added "SCL student" suddenly. LOL. totally speechless with that. LOL.
After the chatting session and say byebye to MK, then we went to the Xinjiang restuarant nearby to had our dinner. cant remember what i ate but i got no energy to walk anymore, i know all i want is to wash up and then sleep. LOL. on the way to back to hotel after eating, we saw MK again. hahaha. he look so different from his lecturer look. LOL. he say he was going to find his friend and then we bid goodbye to him and we went back to our room.
On the way back to room, we met NZ. LOL. she was telling us about tml's stuffs where by right they are going back to SG on that day but due to some reason they were held back and then they were going back tml a flight earlier than us. they wont be able to see us as tml morning they will go off to the company they were visiting together in a bus, so, she was kind of worry for us on how we are going to the airport and stuffs. LOL. then she was telling us that we can take the bullet train to the airport and were telling us the directions, there again, my dear SH scared her by answering her when NZ did not notice there is such person around us. LOL.
Owell, after that went back to the room and SH shared the same bed as me. it's amazing that she is willing to share the same bed as me. (In KL she dun even let me touch her bed. LOL) while ana finally slp a single bed herself. LOL. I dont know if i had mentioned before that actually the whole trip i had never owned a bed at all. LOL. ana insisted that she wan to slept together with me on a single bed all the while, lucky the bed was big enuff to hold onto 2 person and once we closed our eyes, we just slept like as if we didnt move and then the next day just came in a blink of eyes. LOL. It just show how tired we were all these days.
